Biking to the sun.

One of the highlights of Spring here in Western Montana is bike riding in Glacier National Park. The world famous Going-to-the-Sun Road is open to bike traffic only for the first 4-6 weeks of spring. Its an amazing opportunity to climb some serious vertical with out motor traffic whizzing by. This spring we made several family trips up the road and climbed several thousand feet of vertical in the process.

As an added workout bonus for me, I got to pull our 4 year old twins up the mountain side in the bike trailer. Biking up these steep climbs is brutal enough, but to then have an extra 100 pounds attached to the back of the bike is pure torture. BUT the reward is worth it. Our turn around point is without question one of the most beautiful and scenic places on the entire planet. There are not words to describe the awe inspiring beauty of glacier National Park.
